Luc DERIEZ
With a background in scenography, Luc has been involved in the cultural and socio-cultural sectors for many years.
He is one of the five founding members of the association Repair Together, which he has coordinated since its inception.
Repair Together is a social and solidarity association that aims, among other objectives, to pool the resources necessary for the creation, development, and maintenance of Repair Cafés in Belgium, specifically in the Brussels-Capital Region and Wallonia.
The association develops and offers multiple actions and activities, including educational, advocacy, and community-building initiatives focused on repair, reuse, circular economy, planned obsolescence, social cohesion, and the transmission of intergenerational knowledge.
Following his meeting with Olivier and convinced of the validity of the project, Luc joined the Board of Directors to support the creation of the innovative Association City.
Simon DEBROUWER & Ernest UGIRABE (SeTIS)
The SeTIS Brussels is proud to make its skills and experiences available to The Association City.
The profession of interpreter in social settings, of which it has been the guarantor for 14 years, emerged 30 years ago in response to the need to facilitate better communication between social aid actors and their multilingual audiences.
It provides public and private nonprofit actors with a team of professional interpreters capable of facilitating exchanges between people speaking different languages in the numerous social contexts specific to the Brussels-Capital Region.
Thanks to SeTIS, the language barrier is overcome each time, allowing individuals to fulfill their duties and assert their rights with dignity !
